What’s going on Westside! Happy Friday. We’re two weeks away from Halloween but there’s nothing to be afraid of.
We’re hosting the WNBA Finals, everywhere we turn there are new food & drink specials, outdoor movie screenings, and more.
Let’s get right into this week’s Anthem 👇

The Anthem is made possible in part by El Tesoro West End & South Downtown, a neighborhood treasure serving good quality food at reasonable prices. See the menu here.
🌮 El Tesoro’s South Downtown location now has a $28 all-you-can-eat Sunday Brunch Buffet from 11am-3pm, and it comes with a mimosa or Mich Ultra.
🍝 Garnish & Gather teamed up with Kitty Dare on a Puttanesca Shrimp meal kit with homemade harissa, Pasta Mami bucatini, and a feta Caesar on the side. Order online through 10/22, or grab one at their Upper West Market stall starting 10/18.
🍔 $10 gets you a burger and a beer at Wild Leap Atlanta every weekday from 11am-3pm. Come back Wednesday for $12 flights of beers you can only get at the Atlanta taproom.
🧟 Monday Night Brewing released Up From Below, an 8.5% Double NEIPA brewed with Nelson Sauvin and Motueka hops and a touch of Meadowfoam honey for notes of toasted marshmallow and vanilla.
☕ Brash Coffee dropped its fall seasonal menu, bringing back the house-made Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup and Maple Flat White, plus an Espresso Tonic with spiced cranberry or ginger syrup.
🍣 Bottle Rocket in South Downtown added California rolls to its lunch menu.
🥔 Soup season has officially arrived at Big Easy Grille, starting with a creamy Loaded Baked Potato Soup. Keep an eye on their IG for when it’s back on special.
🍝 We’re not doctors, but Wild Heaven says its Pesto Tortellini has healing power. The garlic bread on the side seems like part of the treatment plan.
🍽️ Boxcar at Hop City is now offering catering for family reunions, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, and other events.
☕ The windows are painted at Ida’s Counter on Mitchell Street, and they say breakfast, lunch, and hand-rolled bagels. No opening date yet. Every new sign gets me more excited. -Connor
🍕 Pizza, drinks, and brain power. Westside Pizza runs trivia every Thursday at 8pm, hosted by Outspoken Trivia.
👻 Only 18,500 of these exist. King of Pops’ Booreo Cheesecake is back in the carts for Halloween, blending chocolate sandwich cookies with cream cheese.
🍗 The Bando got stuck with tiny wings from a vendor, so they told everyone straight up and threw 3-5 extra on every plate. More restaurants should handle it like this. -Connor
🦞 Lobster Club Sandwiches are only available through Lucky Star’s new Ban-Dou experience, a traditional Taiwanese feast served course after course. The lineup also includes Three Cup Chicken, Lu Rou Fan, and Pineapple Cake Ice Cream. Ban-Dou, not to be confused with Bando -Connor
