Happy Friday West Atlanta! It’s not just any Friday, its Masters Friday. Today’s also the birthday of the West Atlanta Anthem. When you read this, Atlanta’s newest newsletter is probably just a few minutes or hours old.

You’re one of the first 100 subscribers. (Ok, we were actually up to 102 when finished writing last night.)

I’d love for you to reply with feedback or any tips on what should be included in next week’s edition.

Thanks for reading!

🕊️ The Atlanta community is mourning the loss of Janice White Sikes Rogers, a historian, librarian, and cultural writer who gave nearly four decades to the Atlanta-Fulton County Library System. A Spelman College alumna originally from Mississippi, she helped define the West End community and dedicated her life to making sure Black history was preserved, understood, and passed forward. She was 73.
