What’s up Westside! Happy Friday. How’s everybody doing? Weather’s been nice, the Dream forced a game 7, the Falcons beat the Niners, and UGA is playing Florida in Atlanta on Saturday for the first time ever.

Speaking of the Falcons, I had a quick work trip this week and on Monday morning the airport was FULL of sad 49ers fans. Too bad, so sad.

But enough about sports… for the most part. We’ve got some awesome eats, events, and updates to get you ready to enjoy the weekend.

Let’s get into this week’s Anthem 👇

The Anthem is made possible in part by El Tesoro West End & South Downtown, a neighborhood treasure serving good quality food at reasonable prices. See the menu here.

🌯 El Tesoro South Downtown has a Sunday brunch buffet with burritos, chilaquiles, and more, plus aguas frescas, horchata, and coffee on the patio.

🧁 By popular demand, the WitchSugar x Lucky Star Halloween dessert and cocktail pop-up is back for an encore tonight from 6-10pm. Quantities are limited, so reservations are the move.

💀 Broad Street BBQ is begging someone to take these cursed souvenir mugs off their hands. $45 gets you the mug plus a double espresso martini slushy and a Diet Coke cold foam, 10/30 and 10/31 only. Per the fine print, they are not responsible for curse-related incidents.

🍟 Ida’s Counter just opened on Mitchell St., and the move is the $15 burger combo: a stacked double cheeseburger with a pile of fries.

👻 Milk chocolate whisky, yuzu, tamarind, and coconut foam with durian. Lucky Star’s Halloween Cocktail Omakase creation is making one last appearance on the Lucky Hour menu through 10/31.

📰 The AJC has a good read on West Midtown restaurants teaming up to fight the neighborhood’s parking-and-traffic rep through the new West Midtown Alliance and its first Restaurant Week.

🦪 Bovino After Dark is giving away a free half dozen chef’s choice oysters when you book a Friday or Saturday dinner on Resy with code OYS through 10/31. The shells go to Shell to Shore to help restore Georgia’s coastal habitats.

🥂 Speaking of Bovino After Dark, they’ve got a Power Hour where oysters, caviar, bubbles, and à la carte bites from the tasting menu are on offer Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 5pm at Lee + White.

🍩 Coffee, matcha, donuts, and a patio full of women-owned vendors. The Salty Donut on West Paces Ferry is teaming up with Gurl 2 Girl for a free Matcha Social on Sunday, 11/1, from 12-5pm. Parking is free on Sunday.

🍽️ Part architectural tour, part tasting. Dining by Design from the Architecture and Design Center of Atlanta walks South Downtown’s hidden architectural gems and eats its way through the neighborhood on 11/12, 4-6pm. Tickets are limited.

⭐ Little Sparrow was recognized again by the Michelin Guide in this year’s American South edition.

🍗 New this fall and already a fan favorite: FÜM’s chicken milanesa over a bright salsa verde with crauti, mustard greens, and a lemon squeeze to finish.

🔥 Smoked brisket, pulled pork rice plates, and a blackened jerk salmon rice plate. Jimmie’s Jerk BBQ is slinging Caribbean BBQ at Boggs Social & Supply Friday and Saturday, Halloween included.

🦃 Delilah’s Everyday Soul is taking Thanksgiving catering orders, with whole roasted or fried turkey, mac and cheese, collard greens, cornbread stuffing, and peach cobbler on the menu.
