Haaaaaaaapy Friday Folks! We did it. We made it through another week. Heat advisories and all. My wife is a teacher and heat advisory = no outdoor recess. So if you’re wondering why your kids have a little extra energy or your teacher friends have a little less… it might be due to that.

Anyway…. we’ve got a great weekend ahead of us. Let’s into this week’s Anthem 👇

The Anthem is made possible in part by El Tesoro West End & South Downtown, a neighborhood treasure serving good quality food at reasonable prices. See the menu here.

🌮 El Tesoro does Birria Thursday at all 3 locations and that’s one of the few things that will get me to switch it up from my go-to order (the steak mulita).

🍰 Boxcar's new dessert menu is stacked: flaming pineapple rum butter cake, Guinness caramel bread pudding, Biscoff blondie, and root beer or Coke floats you can spike.

🍕 Skip the midweek cooking. Atwoods Pizza has a pizza + bottle of wine for $20 every Wednesday, 5 to 9 p.m.

🌽 Momonoki really wants you to embrace corn season: corn ice cream, corn croissant, and now a corn miso cocktail.

🍷 Lucky Star's Lucky Hour is the move for a late-night stop in West Midtown: discounted sips and bites Wednesday through Saturday, 8 to 10 p.m.

🍕 &pizza is coming to the Interlock in West Midtown thanks to a pair of Atlanta entrepreneurs.

🌮 Muchacho's Sunset Sessions run Tuesday through Friday, 3 to 6 p.m., with $7 margaritas and $6 tacos + tequila shots. And if Monday's more your speed, Muchacho Mondays go all day, all night.

🍢 Cooks & Soldiers’ Txikiteo happy hour is an "evening ritual inspired by the Basque Country," which is a fancy way of saying $7 drinks and pintxos Monday through Friday, 5 to 7 p.m.

🥪 Little Rey's new limited-run item is the Macha Pork Cubano: smoked pork shoulder, salsa macha, pickles, mustard, cilantro, and onion on a torta-style bun, available at all locations for a limited time.

🍺 Urban Grind's BrewBox at Pittsburgh Yards is now serving alcohol, a rotating selection of beers, wines, and canned cocktails alongside their coffee.

🍵 Spiller Park has two new items: a Frosted Sugar Cookie (chewy sugar cookie, lemon buttercream, rainbow sprinkles) available at all shops, and a Matcha Colada, iced matcha with pineapple syrup and coconut cold foam.
